I met Melanie and Leslie in 2004 when I served as their interpreter at the Fête de l’Humanité. We stood in front of a crowd of thousands and thousands of people and it was like being lifted into the air. Through them, I met several amazing women who made my world larger. Thinking of her today, I still feel that burst of energy and joy we all need to keep up the good fight(s). I have a great picture of us on the stage, I wish I could paste it here for all to see.
