My name is Judy. I met Melanie at a support group for Parkinson’s and dancing for Parkinson’s and I can’t quite tell you what drew us together but probably her wry sense of humor was a contributing fact

Unfortunately she was so busy and I didn’t know how busy she was until recently. She was writing papers, she was writing books and she had very little time to add a full friend – and she taught at Queens College.

She’s in my heart as a sweet person from the past. Hearing all of your tributes to her just confirms what I thought of her, rather than knew.

I too have Parkinson’s Disease and our support group was very, very helpful in forming a community and a circle of friends… I think of it more as a circle of friends. I can’t advertise for it, but I noticed that Melanie picked this for her list of groups for contributions in her memory.

I think that’s all I can say. Thank you.
